Our website development agency is ready for you to join in alongside our production staff to build engaging websites that help our customers reach their business growth goals. As a website developer, you will utilize your WordPress, HTML and CSS experience working on custom website development projects. We are looking for a developer who can work independently or with a team and has the ability to meet deadlines when presented. Experience working with e-commerce and membership websites will be beneficial, as you will build on those skills to become more versed in custom development projects. Website Developer Job Description.

As a developer at Iceberg Web Design, you will report to Iceberg’s Senior Website Developer. You will work as a crucial team member in our Production department, primarily working on developing WordPress websites, including brochure websites, membership websites, e-commerce websites, and other custom development projects.

You will also assist Iceberg’s team in open support tickets for current website hosting customers, and troubleshoot website performance issues. You will work closely with other website developers as we continually improve on our work, and lend your experience and expertise to continually break through barriers as we grow our customer base and skillset.

You will attend weekly L10 meetings, and utilize our project management and communication tools (specifically Teamwork, Slack, FreshDesk and email) to track your time and ensure projects flow smoothly.

Job Responsibilities.

Work closely with Iceberg’s Senior Website Developer and VP of Production to assist in building websites in WordPress;
Build and maintain WordPress websites;
Actively implement new technology into custom website builds, and actively offer suggestions for continual growth and improvement;
Engage in some direct communication with customers and assist with support tickets;
Build out website pages using provided content;
Search for, optimize, and include stock photography in website builds;
Optimize website for SEO, including improving page speed and ensuring accurate and relevant title and description tags are included on all pages;
Assist Iceberg’s website development team in completing open website development projects;
Assist Iceberg’s team with Quality Assurance checks prior to launch of new projects;
Engage in weekly L10 meetings with Iceberg’s Production Department;
Actively learn and continue your education in best practices for development.

Key Perfomance Indicators

You will be responsible for communicating with our Senior Website Developer daily about progress on large development projects;
You will be responsible for keeping track of development progress using tools provided by Iceberg;
You will be assigned weekly tasks each week, with the expectation of them being completed on time;
You will attend meetings with customers if requested;
You will track time in relation to deliverables for each project you participate in;
You will work with various team members to help meet our current growth efforts and goals.

Job Qualifications.

1 year minimum experience at a website development or similar agency;
2+ years WordPress development experience;
2+ years experience working with HTML, CSS, and WordPress;
Familiar with WordPress specific e-commerce and membership software and integrations;
Experience with Javascript and PHP beneficial;
Self-starter with the ability to independently problem solve and make decisions;
Organization skills with the ability to track and manage your time and tasks;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
A design eye to help with page building and layout;
Exceptional organization skills including attention to detail and data entry accuracy;
Ability to communicate frequently and efficiently via email; good grammatical and spelling capabilities.

Time Commitment, Compensation & Benefits.

Time Commitment: Salaried W2 position, 40 hours/week.
Compensation: $36-58K. Pay commensurate with your agency and website development experience.
Location: Our office is located in Anoka, Minnesota. Our team is currently working in a hybrid capacity. Please indicate your ability and preference to work in-office or remote. Include experience working remotely in your job application.
